Return and Refund Policy

At Afara Foodshop, your satisfaction matters to us. If something isn’t right with your order, we want to make it easy to put it right.

Our return window

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return, refund, or exchange. After 30 days, unfortunately we are unable to offer a refund or exchange.

What can be returned

To be eligible for a return, items must be:

  • Unused and in their original, unopened packaging
  • In the same condition you received them
  • Accompanied by your order number or proof of purchase

What cannot be returned

For health, safety and hygiene reasons, the following items are not eligible for return:

  • Perishable, fresh, chilled or frozen foods
  • Items that have been opened or are no longer in their original sealed packaging
  • Items received more than 30 days ago
  • Gift cards

Faulty, damaged or incorrect items

If you have received an item that is damaged, faulty, past its best-before date on arrival, or different from what you ordered, please contact us within 30 days of delivery and we will arrange a full refund or replacement. In these cases, Afara Foodshop will cover the return shipping costs.

Change-of-mind returns

If you simply change your mind about a non-perishable item that meets the eligibility criteria above, you are welcome to return it. For change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for the return shipping cost, and original shipping fees are non-refundable.

How to start a return

  1. Email us at Sales@afarafoodshop.com within 30 days of receiving your order, including your order number and a brief description (and a photo, if the item is damaged or incorrect).
  2. We will respond within 1–2 business days with confirmation and, where applicable, a return address and instructions.
  3. Send the item back using a tracked service. We recommend tracked shipping for higher-value items, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in return transit.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will email you to confirm whether your refund has been approved. If approved, your refund will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Please note that, depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take a further few days for the refund to appear on your statement.

Exchanges

We are happy to exchange items that are damaged, defective or incorrect. Email Sales@afarafoodshop.com with your order number and we will arrange the exchange.

Sale items

Only regular-priced items are eligible for refunds. Sale items are non-refundable unless they arrive damaged, faulty or incorrect.
